Running the best loadouts in Warzone Season 5 can be the difference between victory and defeat, so we’ve put together the best weapons and attachments to give you the edge in both Verdansk and Rebirth Island.
Call of Duty: Warzone’s meta changes often, with every new season bringing new weapons and balance updates to existing ones. Warzone Season 5’s update didn’t make many changes to individual weapons, but the brand-new EM2 is set to shake up the meta.
Still, Season 5 continues to have great weapon balance with many viable guns. However, some stand slightly above the rest, so we’re counting down the weapons you should be using this season.
Here are the top 10 weapons and their attachments, as well as the perks, you can run in Warzone Season 5.
10. Grau 5.56 – Best ‘Fully Loaded’ loadout in Season 5
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Tempus 26.4″ Archangel
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 60 Round Mags
- Perk: Fully Loaded
Every Warzone player should have a ‘Fully Loaded’ class at the ready. After dropping in from the Gulag, you’ll be able to pick up a weapon with maximum ammo straight away so you’re instantly ready to go.

The Grau 5.56 doesn’t suffer from missing an attachment, making it the perfect choice for a Fully Loaded class. With the cleanest iron sights the game has to offer and minimal recoil, everyone should have a Fully Loaded Grau.
9. PKM – Best LMG in Warzone Season 5
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: 26.9″ Extended Barrel
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
- Underbarrel: Snatch Grip
If you want a weapon that can wipe a whole squad with ease, the PKM is the weapon for you. With minimal recoil and a huge magazine, you can’t go wrong with this LMG.

We’ve built it to maximize its range, while also adding some attachments to increase its speed, keeping it competitive with Warzone’s Assault Rifles. Its huge magazine size also means you’ll be able to take down a four-man team without reloading.
8. OTs 9
- Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
- Barrel: 8.1″ Task Force
- Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
- Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock
- Ammunition: Spetsnaz 40 Rnd
Because of the OTs 9’s tough unlock challenge, not many players have got to experience its power. But if you’re looking for a fast-firing SMG with a rapid time to kill (TTK), the OTs 9 is well worth the grind.
However, its low magazine size means we recommend only using it in Solos and Duos, which prevents it from being the best SMG the game has to offer.
7. QBZ-83
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 15.5″ Task Force
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Ammunition: STANAG 60 Rnd Drum
We called the QBZ-83 the most underrated weapon in Warzone Season 4, and this remains true in Season 5. In fact, a small nerf to the Krig 6 has only made the QBZ-83 better, so it’s well worth using in Season 5.
For a medium-range weapon, the QBZ-83 is perfect – especially in the confines of Rebirth Island. Fans of the FARA 83 in its prime will especially enjoy this rare, but powerful, Cold War Assault Rifle.
6. Swiss K31 – Best Sniper Rifle loadout in Season 5

- Laser: SWAT 5mW Laser Sight
- Stock: Raider Stock
- Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap
Raven Software has been working hard to bring Cold War’s Sniper Rifles in line with Modern Warfare’s, which has allowed the Swiss K31 to rise to the top. It’s just as powerful as any of the best Sniper or Marksman Rifles, offering great bullet velocity and a quick bolt speed.
The only thing that really separates the Swiss K31 and the Kar98k is player preference, but we feel the Kar just edges it out.
5. MAC-10 – Best SMG loadout in Season 5
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 5.9″ Task Force
- Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
- Stock: Raider Stock
- Ammunition: STANAG 53 Rnd Drum
The MAC-10 has long been a powerful SMG in Warzone, and it climbed back to the top of the pack ahead of Season 5.
This is the perfect SMG for an aggressive player, as with the right attachments it becomes extremely quick with an impressive TTK. We’ve built this MAC-10 to maximize its speed, while also having decent range for more versatility.
4. C58
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 18.5″ Task Force
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Ammunition: STANAG 55 Rnd
The C58 is utterly dominant in the hands of a skilled player, only just missing out on the top spots because of its low fire rate and higher recoil.
However, its damage profile more than makes up for its low rate of fire. Once you’ve locked onto an enemy with the C58, there’s very little they can do to survive.

3. Kar98k – Best Marksman Rifle loadout in Season 5

The Kar98k has been a popular choice throughout the entirety of Warzone’s life because it can be used in any situation. Whether going for insane long-shots or quickscoping up-close, you can’t go wrong with this Marksman Rifle.
It has a near-instant aim down sight time, great range, and very little idle sway. No matter if you’re going for high kill games or tactical wins, the Kar98k is the perfect weapon.
2. EM2
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 27.4″ Ranger
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Ammunition: 40 Rnd
The EM2 arrived as part of the Warzone Season 5 update, offering players a brand-new Assault Rifle to use in the expanse of Verdansk.

We’ve built this EM2 to combine power and range with speed, so you’re never caught out by a slow ADS time. It acts very similarly to the C58, offering the same max bullet velocity but a much faster TTK. It has slightly more recoil than the C58, but with this loadout, you won’t have much trouble after you get some practice.
There’s very little reason not to use the EM2 in Warzone Season 5. Not only is it extremely powerful, but it’s also a nice change from Season 4’s meta. We highly recommend running the EM2 as your primary weapon in Season 5.
1. Krig 6 – Best Assault Rifle loadout in Season 5

Although it received a small nerf in the Season 4 Reloaded update, the Krig 6 has kept almost all of its power going into Season 5.

With high damage and low recoil, this loadout makes the Krig is extremely easy to use. The Axial Arms 3x scope takes away any challenge you’ll have in hitting far-off targets and the STANAG 60 Rnd magazine is enough rounds to take out a whole team. Then the Agency Suppressor offers a boost to almost every aspect of the weapon and keeps you off the minimap.
For a powerful yet easy to control Assault Rifle, there’s still no better option than the Krig 6 in Season 5.
Best Perks for CoD: Warzone Season 5
- Perk 1: E.O.D. / Cold Blooded
- Perk 2: Overkil / Ghost / Restock
- Perk 3: Amped / Combat Scout
Surviving explosives is a necessity, so E.O.D is usually the best for Perk 1. However, Cold Blooded has become more effective in Season 5 because it counters the new Combat Scout Perk.
To optimize your perks and weapons, we’re going to recommend the two-loadout strategy for any game. On the first loadout, your Perk 2 should be Overkill to grab your two preferred weapons, e.g the EM2 and OTs 9.

On the second loadout, you can either pick up a loadout with Ghost to hide from UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors or Tempered to make your armor plates more effective and last longer.
And for Perk 3, Amped will allow you to rapidly switch weapons, which stops you from feeling sluggish. But, Combat Scout is now another powerful choice, as it gives you temporary wallhacks and automatically pings enemies for your team.
Warzone Season 5 continues with the most balanced meta we’ve seen in a long time. While these are our top 10 weapons, there are plenty of other viable options you can have fun while using in Verdansk ’84.
