It's official! Boise State signs 18 to 2024 recruiting class - Bronco Nation News (2024)

The Boise State football team officially welcomed 18 new members Wednesday as part of the 2024 signing class. And it’s a group that could be remembered for a long time.

Not for the talent or star rankings, but for a group that stuck together and stuck with the Broncos – despite a crazy 2023 season and a change in head coach.

Boise State lost just one commit following the firing of Andy Avalos on Nov. 12 – five-star Gatlin Bair – and even added multiple commits while Spencer Danielson was still the interim head coach.

“Not only do we have really good football players on this list, but we have great young men that want to be in Boise,” Danielson said. “All of them had opportunities to go other places and through the whole thing, they wanted to be here.”

One spot the Broncos are still looking to add? A quarterback out of the transfer portal to replace Taylen Green, who signed with Arkansas.

Danielson said Boise State would add a quarterback if he were the right fit.

“We’re working on it as we speak,” Danielson said. “It’s obviously a point of emphasis for us going forward. It’s all about the right fit.”

Reported surfaced late Wednesday that Nebraska quarterback Chubba Purdy was entering the transfer portal and “Boise State is a possible landing spot” according to HuskerOnline.com.
